Performing Arts for Kids
PAK is an established project, set up by Louise Prosser, incorporating dance with other art forms. Using dance, live music, visual art, costume design, film and animation, PAK brings these art forms together to create one-off large scale productions that the children have created alongside our professional team of artists.
Recent PAK projects
October Half-Term 2017 – ‘In The Hands Of The Gods’
‘In The Hands Of The Gods’ was made for Afon Community Dance’s production in November 2017, starting and finishing the whole production and linking all the dance pieces together. Using Dance and Costume the children created pieces about the Ancient Greeks and their Gods and looking at what modern-day Gods they would have.
February Half-Term 2017 – ‘A Pretty Little Town’
‘A Pretty Little Town’ was based upon the history of Llantrisant, taking a tour through dance of the town. The children not only created the dance but also designed and made costumes to accompany the different scenes. This led to a performance in Afon Community Dance’s production ‘Spring Into Summer’ in March 2017 and also the children had a chance to perform it again at Llantrisant’s ‘Beating The Bounds’ in June 2017.
