Afon Community Dance provides many ‘open door’ dance classes ranging from toddlers to adults of all abilities.
Afon Tots
Our toddler dance classes are designed to enhance and develop co-ordination and rhythm as well as increase confidence.
Tiny Toes – 6months + – Come along and join in with your toddler and enjoy their natural love of movement using props and music.
Toddler Toes – 3 & 4 year olds – In a relaxed, fun and safe environment your child will begin to gain independence while exploring the joy of movement and creative dance.
Children & Youth Creative Dance
Creative dance is a joyful way for children to explore movement through music, develop physical skills, channel energy, stimulate imagination and promote creativity. In these sessions our dancers create contemporary and physical dance pieces for performance.
Dance & Disability
These sessions help participants improve their co-ordination, mobility and memory, increase strength and flexibility with the added bonus of making new friends and being part of something exciting. Lively music and colourful props are used to enhance the dance workshops, as well as creating performance opportunities. We offer group sessions and ‘one to one’ sessions.
Adults
Afon Dance Company – Afon Dance Company is a unique performance group that includes trained community dance practitioners and people who share an interest and passion for contemporary dance.
AttenDANCE – AttenDANCE is a fun and lively class for over 50s to come together and share a love of dance and music.
